AURELIO COSTARELLA

As another year of MBFWA began at the Carrigeworks in Sydney last Monday, I was way too excited to see my first show of the fashion week. First show and I have to say my absolute favourite from the whole week was Aurelio Costarella.

From the way the show was set up for viewers to see the garments and appreciate every detail of beading, draping, embellishing, and be completely mesmerised by such fantasy-fashion as I would like to call it, to the way the models kept their pose and held their solid face expressions, no matter how many eyes were on them, analysing every single detail was just all so captivating to me.

This Summer 13/14 selection showcased both Couture and Ready-to-Wear pieces from the "Retrospect" collection which celebrates designer, Aurelio Costarella's 30 years of success in the Australian Fashion Industry.

Every piece was beautiful and so unique to the Aurelio Costarella brand. You can take so much inspiration and gain so much admiration for this collection.

It's obvious this is what Aurelio Costarella is all about and creating such stunning pieces just tells me that he has so much love for his brand. It really does show. Imagine how beyond amazing you would feel in any one of these garments...

RAW

Just before Fashion Week began last week, I headed into the Raw Fashion Agency showroom to have a look at what their clients/brands were up to in terms of design. I love visiting a showroom and seeing beautiful pieces, new labels and what kind of pieces they have and where I can use them with my styling work.

Raw is always a fun one! They look after a fast-growing online store, My Famous Look which is full of celebrity inspired pieces and a heap of body con dresses, like this red one (below) I loved.

They also look after Achea-mpong by Mutesi with loads of perfectly embellished and detailed dresses and jackets. So, so cool!!

And my favourite of the accessories is Opa Designswhich is full of Greek Goddess inspired jewellery on-trend clutches.... and affordable too!

Thanks for having me again Raw Fashion Agency!

MY STYLE

The last day of MBFWA I styled myself in a metallic tank top paired with my body jewellery, that isn't always practical, but looks great and always starts up some sort of fashion conversation. I found this on eBay for $23 from an eBay-store which sells loads of these kind of accessories. Then I put on one of the most comfortable heels I own, these Isabella Brown snakeskin points which are super soft, just what I needed for the last day of fashion week.

Sunday I was more simple, a black maxi from Glassons, a hat from Rubi Shoes and a long gold chain I added some wooden and bronze beads to.

What did you wear this weekend? I love to see your style too! Email me at styling@hayleycooper.com.au and send in your fashion pics to have on here.

BY JOHNNY. – SUMMER 2014 – “ISSU(E)IGHT”

Day One of MBFWA I viewed the Summer 2014 collection of by johnny. titled “ISSU(E)IGHT”. I loved every piece of this collection, definitely my style.

by johnny. has done one creative and fun collection for a woman’s wardrobe. Filled mostly with elegant dresses and skirts in classically streamlined silhouettes, combining illusion panels and so many exciting prints and the few casual-cool tops and loose fitting jackets, there is a place for by johhny in all of our individual styles.

The various prints of lines and almost triangular prints created illusions with the eye when worn on a modern dress, cropped top, pencil or drop-peplum skirt. There were lots of short sleeved, strapless and one shouldered dresses to compliment the many ways women can flatter their shape in a figure-hugging piece.

WHITE SANDS

WHITE SANDS – SPRING SUMMER 2013/2014 – “HONEYMOON”
Viewing the White Sands ‘Honeymoon’ collection made me wish that Summer was around for longer! I loved the whole collection, especially the diversity between the soft florals and striking blacks. I also loved that the group of models all had various figures and showed how suitable White Sands is for many women.

Strutting down the runway were arrays of colour and signature prints, all combined with flattering, structured swimwear and a strong sense of womanly glamour.

The ‘Honeymoon’ collection perfectly embodied the sunny attitude of us Australians with effortlessly chic and covetable pieces.  From tiny bikinis to plunging necklines on a one-piece, to high rise bottoms and two-pieces with unique cut outs and the most ideal cover-ups, White Sands nailed it with this range of swimwear.
