DESHABILLE

A week or so ago,  I headed out to Kirkham, Camden for the Deshabille winter photo shoot, one of the most beautiful locations I have been to whilst on location. 

It was such a beautiful day for shooting with the sun out, fresh air, the perfect Deshabille model, a great team, and in the perfect federation-style home with manicured gardens. So many great spots for a the right Deshabille shot.

I was there to cover the shoot, take some behind the scenes photos and give you all a sneak peak as to what's coming next winter for Deshabille. And let me tell you, each piece of the collection can fit so simply into your wardrobe and casual, fashionable looks. Think a range of the softest knitted cardigans and wraps, pretty camisoles and comfy and stylish pants.

Each piece of the winter collection is so easy to wear for all women, perfect for a lazy day at home, a trip to the shops or a relaxing day of pampering yourself. Resort 2014

Sneak peek into new collection from DaRousso Resort 2014 gives a whole new idea about the brand. For the first time DaRousso releses Resort collection that is all about summer holidays. Light fabrics and navy colors combined with rough finished, torn like pieces as well as polished, tailor-perfect peaces represent the collection that covers both day and evening needs and make perfect choice of two different styles that are the summer most favorite: beach casual hangout with torn like look, somehow rock like but also graphic and polished look which suits perfectly luxury scenery, boating and upscale fun.
Color range goes from bleached white, beige, sun faded blue and navy dark blue. Fabrics that the collection combines are mostly cottons, viscose, silk but also fabrics like super jersey that the brand incorporates in almost all collections due to the wonderful feeling to it and usability in casual and evening wear. Also used are fabrics that are windproof and they are also used in an innovative way incorporated on a long dress which could be worn day and night.
Very important thing to mention is integration of new technologies creating dirt proof clothes, which happens due to the brands devotion to Nano-tech implementation in fashion industry. As well the brands makes a strong ecological statement by creating peaces that are cutting-edge mastering zero waste approach to design. After a short break the brand DaRousso comes back with a mission to change the design Id it has and as well to change the way we think. New technologies, Nano-tech, zero waste and body respectful designs translate into soft, sensual and all-time collection that carries the smell of Mediterranean and Greek islands but at the same time reflects in a certain way the deeper sense of life in Greece today.
The brand is planning to launch the collection in August, followed by the Summer 2014 in October.

SPORTSGIRL, MARILYN & ANTM

Australia's Next Top Model aired here in Australia last Tuesday night and already I can't wait to see more! I think Jennifer Hawkins is definitely a smart choice as the host, and is very "now" and can relate a little more to the young models, more so than previous hosts.

I found this black bag in Sportsgirl the other day, on sale for $40. One thing a girl should always have is a big, black tote. They never go out of style, fit everything you need and are so easy to add into your outfit. What I love most about this one is that I can carry it on my shoulder rather than just my forearm, and it doesn't look out of place.

I added some Marilyn Monroe to my cushion collection recently, she fits in perfectly. Are you obsessed with printed, textured, varied cushions too? I have cushions all over the house! MY STYLE

Lets start from the top...

My leather Jennifer Kate jacket is just absolutely amazing and oh so warm! One of the things I love about Winter here in Australia is getting to wear such a mix of jackets, from leather, to a good trench coat, an embellished entirely over the top blazer, or your casual bomber. We can get away with wearing a lightweight bomber through the day, before covering up in an all-out leather one when the cold night arrives. Is this just me, or do you love this about winter fashion too?

Glue Store has recently introduced the Glamourous label to the stores, and I am sure it will be a hit. This simple cut, grey marle tee is perfect worn as a basic underneath your layers, or when you feel you want to stand out a little more, you get out your METALLIC SLEEVES :O in love with it, going crazy for metallic everything.

Just a sweet simple quote I found on Instagram (@hcstyling) and thought it would be nice to share with everything. It's important to feel proud of yourself and remind yourself of your accomplishments, and  to smile and accept the acknowledgement from others.

QUICK INSPO

Just a few images I have come across in this past week. All bits and pieces that inspire me and my style in some way. If you guys know the original source of these images somehow, please do let me know because I just find cool photos online and want to credit someone for them...

Anyway, I am feeling inspired by this canary yellow dress and tangerine heels - so amazing and so my style! Too bad my blonde highlights would clash with the warm colours... I am a "cool" skin tone so this one isn't made to suit me as much as I love it! I'll leave it to you warm toned ladies and brunettes.

I am also going crazy over Nicholas Kirkwood heels lately! I think these four printed pairs are just the perfect shoe design. I styled a pair of these for the David Jones website earlier this year and they are even better in person!

My other favourite piece here are the "best friends" rings. I think they are really cute and a modern, grown-up-girls take on the traditional "best friends" jewellery that we all had when we were younger. You can shop these at www.shoplouun.com
