This is the all new Autumn/Winter style fix video that I worked on recently for fashion retailer Boohoo. We had a lot of fun shooting this and watch out for the hot pink leopard print two-sie.. One of my favourite things from the collection and so so versatile as you will see in the Style Fix Magazine we styled it as three ways to wear! All items shown are available now or coming soon to Boohoo.

Fun With Fashion Union... New Phase!

Spring/Summer '13 Fashion Union Ad Campaign...

I love the new Fashion Union ad campaign and look book introducing their hot new Summer transistional fashion lines. The black and white oversized college tee (as seen below) is not only bouncing right into the Sports Lux trend, but its also a bargain price of just £15!

Their website is looking amazing at the moment and has come a long way from the classic Fashion Union mainstream vibe that we once knew. As you can see from the new look book, it represent a more fun, vibrant and exciting FU and shows just how fashion forward they have become over the last few months! With an exciting array of funky fashion lines like these... Who's not going to want to buy these hot new pieces for that last minute bit of holiday fun time! :)

All items available now or coming soon at: www.fashionunion.com

Where Do You Get You're Kicks???

Kick Chicks...

It looks like sneakers are going to be a big hit next Summer - The S/S 2013 catwalks offered their own take with neon-bright Nike Air Max at Moschino Cheap and Chic, Reebok Classics at Ashish and space-age trainers at Junya Watanabe.

I'm a big fan of the sports wear shoe.. Not just for running and keeping fit but to wear with my everyday clothes. Being a stylist, you're always (literally) running around either prepping clothes for shoots or styling on set. So a nice pair of sneaks can do your feet a whole world of good!! It's great to see them teamed with high-fly dresses on the catwalk.. Proving they're not just for the sports conscious individual!!

The Gorgeous Bridget Bardot..

Fashion Icon Bridget...

After doing some more research for my shoots, I came across this stunning picture of fashion icon Bridget Bardot in her matching chain mail dress and head wear.. It's well ahead of it's time with her trade mark thick black eye liner and extra long lashes... Stunning!!

Go Crazy For Statement Necklaces!!

The Importance Of Making A Statement...

I just can't get enough of these fabulous statement necklaces.. They are the one sure thing that I would recommend any girl to purchase as an 'investment buy!!' Team with a classic shirt or basic tee and they can instantly update an outfit.. And if there's ever a time when you just can't afford to buy yourself a brand new outfit then try investing in a statement necklace to go with your classic little black dress...

Below are some great statement finds available in stores now.. My favourite is the Marks and Spencer black and gold one.. Love it's vintage look - Like you've borrowed it from your grandma's jewellery box :) And it's perfect for the baroque trend that is big this party season!!! Love love love...

NYFW Marc by Marc Jacobs...

Up to the Marc by Marc Jacobs...

When I think of my perfect Summer I think of the bohemian setting I have experienced so many times in Ibiza, maybe it's because I've spent so much time there over the last few years and it's where I feel most relaxed in my own styling.. Floaty, care free and relaxed are three words that I would use to best describe it and it's those same words I would use for the Marc by Marc Jacobs show at New York Fashion Week...

With printed scarves wrapped around the head and waist and a mix of tropical colours including hot pink and bright orange, the looks were relaxed with soft layering in textures and prints.. I also loved the ankle strap shoes teamed with grey marl socks, giving it a unique traveller feel..

After watching some of the shows, it looks like red, pink and orange are the colours to watch for S/S '13 and I'm already excited to be wearing more of these colour next year..

Here are some of my best choices and the whole collection can be viewed here at Vogue

Pink hair... Would you?!

Pinky or Perky??

I'm not too sure about pink hair...?! I love to wear pink but I'm not sure how I'd feel with a permanent fixture to the head?! Katy Perry loves to change the colour of her locks and I must admit she carries it off quite well... This pic here that I've just posted is another great example of how it can look amazing!!

I'm probably about as pale as this model here but somehow I don't know how I would carry it off in terms of my wardrobe styling.. It would definitely mean that you could only wear certain things. I don't think a rich emerald green would somehow quite go.. Maybe I'm wrong and you're the type to like clashing colours with your pink hair?! I myself think it would look quite pretty with all the pastel coloured trends that are big right now.. The perfect compliment to candy coloured dresses with ice cream prints?!

Roaring Twenties Key Trend S/S 2012!!

Backstage at Ralph Lauren...

I absolutely love the twenties trend that is set to be big for Spring/Summer 2012.. I find it so strong, glamorous and ever so elegant. The art deco style is definitely one of my favourites things in life.. From the architecture, the furniture, the paintings and the clothing and accessories!! I just love the cute cloche hats and feather headbands for accessories and beautiful beaded dresses in the most elegant symmetric designs. If I'm ever lucky enough to get married, I think I'll be choosing a vintage art deco style wedding dress.

Although, I remember I once saw a picture of a gorgeous Alice Temperley dress which I instantly fell in love with.. I have even bought an original 1920's wedding cloche hat off Ebay that cost me close to £100!! Oooops... Here's hoping I get to wear it one day... If not, I'm sure I could pass it on to someone who would!!

Take a look at these beautiful flapper dresses seen on the Ralph Lauren Spring/Summer 2012 catwalks. Perfect for any special occasion or party. Oh I do hope I get invited to a wedding this year.. I wouldn't mind wearing the gold and black silk number :O)

Fashion Clothes Swap Frenzie!!!

Swap That Dress For Something Special...

I went to my first clothes swap party at the weekend.. And WOW was I impressed!! I must admit I was abit aprehensive before I went. I'm quite protective over my clothes and handing them over to the lovely girl behind the desk was a hard task for me complete!! All kinds of things were going through my head.. Do I really want to give them away? Am I going to miss them? Will I wear them again one day? Will I find anything good enough that I like? Am I going to regret this? The good thing was I was pleasantly surprised!! I took some of my old vintage numbers down to The Shipping Forecast in Liverpool and managed to swap them for some high street beauties!! There was a big choice in items, vintage, high street, designer, shoes, jewellry and accessories and all were in excellent condition.

The girls that organised the event were from the fashion website www.myfashionjunkie.com and they were really helpful and enthusiastic when it came to swapping the clothes. They gave me a good price swap for my items and told me that if I didn't find anything I could keep my points and use them online or at another event.. Phew!! I wasn't going to be left with something I didn't really like!! I'd definitely recommend a fashion swap party and might even try to organise one myself soon. The perfect thing about them is that you can swap your clothes amongst your friends. Everyone has things in their wardrobe that they're either bored of, don't fit into anymore or have never even worn because it was definitely a spur of the moment buy that you knew at the time you should not have bought!!

Well as the famous saying says.. One man's tat is another man's treasure!!! And in the case, it really was true!!!! :O)
