This week I was in Lake Haven Shopping Center on the Central Coast working with a Personal Stylist – Caitlin Stewart. We were doing mini style sessions all day with the local women, we spoke about body shapes, colours, where to shop the trends and how to wear the new spring pieces that will perfectly suit their figure, colouring, personality and lifestyle.

The women were so grateful for our advice, really friendly and very excited for their next shopping trip, asking lots of questions and taking a lot from the half an hour session. I also took a couple of them to a few stores within the centre where they picked out dresses, patterns, statement accessories and mixed and matched with items they would never have thought to look at before.

They received free styling advice from us, examples of what to buy into, discovered new shopping destinations, found out more about their actual body shape, were told about their own colour tones, encouraged to try new styles and embrace the spring season trends in colours and styles that work with them.

On top of their mini style session, they also received a gift bag full of vouchers from the stores within the center and a generous gift from Angus & Coote who gave away 30 watches valued at about $200 each to the women who had book in with us so it was definitely worth their while!

The best part of this personal styling is that we get women of all shapes, colours, backgrounds and personalities all with differences. It’s such a great feeling to enlighten women about what works and doesn’t work for them and all the reasons why.

To know that we helped these women this week gain confidence in their whole look is a rewarding feeling for us and a new fashion motivation for them, which means for Caitlin and I, our job was done and we had a heap of fun!
