Topshop - Made In Britain..

British Fashion for Topshop..

I've just been looking on the Topshop website when I came across their Made In Britain collection.. I'm definitely all about supporting products that are made here. Especially with Britain having such a unique history with regards to the cotton trade and the industrial revolution. It's something that has dwindled away over the years, as most clothing manufacturers have moved abroad because it is cheaper to make and distrute goods overseas. When you do look into the history of the industrial revolution, it is quite sad that it's still not here anymore. It brought so many jobs to thousands of people and many seamstresses today will tell you that being able to sew is a dying skill; when most women in the 50's and 60's could easily put a dress together.

The new collection at Topshop has some really lovely pieces and are surprisingly not too expensive. I think it's a great idea, especially in the current financial climate, to support British companies and their products.

Here are a few of my favourite pieces but you can view the full collection here at Topshop Made In Britain Collection

Mundo - New Vintage Inspired Sportswear Brand As Seen On Top British Musicians!!!

Mundo...

Mundo is a new vibrant brand that has recently been launched to the high street through House of Fraser. It is a range of football inspired fashion that has recently been seen on various musicians including, The Vaccines and Kid British. The brand has also been used in the new Shane Meadows film about The Stone Roses comeback into the music industry and was chosen because of it's true vintage look, it was used in the scene that recreates their famous 1990 Spike Island gig!! With Mundo being supported by such recognised bands, I don't think it will be too long before we see the typical British indie kid sporting a Mundo t-shirt or two!! With it's fresh and innovative designs, I think Mundo will be the brand to watch over the next few months...

Mundo is available now at House Of Fraser or online at;

Here is a selection of my favourite pieces by Mundo...

I love Vivienne Westwood's Quirky Style!!

All Stand Up For Vivienne Westwood

I was reading an article about Vivienne Westwood in Stylist Magazine this weekend.. I just love her quirky sense of style.. Even at her age, she manages to carry off the quirky, eccentric and unusual style that is reflected in her own fashion designs. I hope I manage to keep my uniqueness and creativity by the time I am her age...

Great British Design - GOLA CLASSICS

Gola Classics and the start of Euro 2012!!

I just love these classic sports pieces by Gola in traditional British red, white and blue.. It was first launched in Britain in 1905, making it over a 100 years old, quite an achievement considering all of the major political things that have happened since then!!

Over the many years that they have been trading, Gola have produced a variety of football and rugby boots that have developed throughout the years in both style and technology!! Their history is quite unique, with sports hero's from across the decades helping to shape a new era in the development of the Gola brand. From Shanky's Liverpool football team wearing them to play in 1965-66 to tennis Player Mark Cox launching his own Gola collection in 1974. These are just some of the sports players that have helped expose the Gola brand throughout the UK and the world.

With football Euro 2012 starting tonight, what better way to wear your true British colours and support the England team!! It's is also a great excuse to delve right back into the retro sports style us Brits tend to love!!

Oh la la... Paris!!!!!!

Je t'aime Paris!!

The location is Paris this week.... How I LOVE this city with all my heart!!!! So much culture around every corner, the buildings, the cafe's, the food, the French accent.. Its all just so adorable!! I could definitely live here, riding my bycicle around the city for a picnic in the park with some red wine and French cheese.. Ahh the bliss!!

Paris also has some of the most classic and contemporary dressed people in the world and what a joy they are to look at.... The perfect city for people watching.. Well, some of the best designers to ever grace the earth originate from France and I really can see why, with such ambience and inspiration around you at every turn, what's not to be inspired.. Hopefully I'll get to do some shopping before the shoot is over. Here's a wee look at some of the interesting little things I have seen this week with more to follow... J'espère que vous les aimez!!!!

Vintage Clothing Auctions by Kerry Taylor

Kerry Taylor Auctions...

One of my good friends Keeley, told me about this fantastic website for amazing vintage clothing. It's an auction site that specialising in antique vintage fashion and textiles. I just love sieving through the different lots, seeing the most beautiful evening dresses, shoes and accessories a girl would die for!! My favourite vintage era has to be Art Deco 1920's.. Oh those Charleston girls knew how to dress!! I would love to get my hands on an original 1920's flapper dress one day, perhaps for my wedding :) I think it's amazing how these things still exist and it's definitely where a lots of designers get their inspiration today.

Have a look at this site:

One of my favourite pieces on here has to be, the vintage 60's silver Paco Rabanne dress!! Very Kylie Minogue!!

Lot 213, June 10 2008, a rare Paco Rabanne chain-linked armour-plate mini dress, 1967, sold for £9,000

Enjoy looking through the vintage shelves...
