CAMP BEAUTY

 

On set of “The Living Room” is where I met Michelle and Jo – the make-up artists who always do a great job on Amanda Keller, Chris Brown, Barry Du Bois and Miguel Maestre. They are two fun-loving, creative and inspiring ladies who happen to have their own cosmetics brand, ‘Camp Beauty’. 

With years in the industry, they both have loads of experience behind them. It’s really no wonder they have been able to come up with the ‘Camp Beauty’ cosmetics range and special workshops too! I was invited to attend last Saturday and took my mum along with me – lots of fun and we both learned so much.

We arrived in the afternoon at 2.15pm, ready for the next few hours, for our class to begin and find out what it’s all about. There were make-up stations set up for us with a kit full of cosmetics and our own booklet that showed what we would be learning, with enough space to take down the essential notes we learned throughout the class.

I never knew that concealer belonged under the eyes and through the cheek! I also never guessed I would find a concealer so smooth and easy to apply, it’s always been an issue for me. 

It was a small and personable class of about 6 on this particular day and we all got along really well, testing out our colours, learning how to apply what and how to do our make up in the fastest and prettiest way. There were demonstrations from Michelle and Jo and lots of good tips given to us.

It felt great to experiment with blush, eye shadow and lip colours as well as learn how to apply your base make-up most perfectly. I loved doing the class and am feeling very inspired to work new looks with my make-up!

My mum loved it as much as I did; she left with a foundation she absolutely loves her new vibrant red lip colour. We also purchased a primer and concealer on the day, were given great mascaras and I have a new favourite lip colour too! Already, we have had some complements AND lasting make up that stays on and feels fresh all day.

HELLO...

It has been quite a while since I have posted on this blog (as you can see).  I will be doing much more with this over the next few months until my website www.hayleycooper.com.au is up and running. I will still want to continue with the blog as this grows and my career does the same.

I will be sharing style inspiration, looks I love, styling work I do and anything else that comes to mind on here, so I hope you enjoy what I have planned for the blog and HC Styling

Lots has been happening since my last post – I have worked on some more shoots, advertisements and promos, shopping trips, personal styling AND have also landed a styling position on “The Living Room” which is on Channel 10 of a Friday night at 8pm.

I have met, styled and worked with a lot of really cool people and loved all the work that’s been going on.

Even at her age, she manages to carry off the quirky, eccentric and unusual style that is reflected in her own fashion designs. Great British Design - GOLA CLASSICS

Gola Classics and the start of Euro 2012!!

I just love these classic sports pieces by Gola in traditional British red, white and blue.. It was first launched in Britain in 1905, making it over a 100 years old, quite an achievement considering all of the major political things that have happened since then!!

Over the many years that they have been trading, Gola have produced a variety of football and rugby boots that have developed throughout the years in both style and technology!! Their history is quite unique, with sports hero's from across the decades helping to shape a new era in the development of the Gola brand. From Shanky's Liverpool football team wearing them to play in 1965-66 to tennis Player Mark Cox launching his own Gola collection in 1974. These are just some of the sports players that have helped expose the Gola brand throughout the UK and the world.

With football Euro 2012 starting tonight, what better way to wear your true British colours and support the England team!! It's is also a great excuse to delve right back into the retro sports style us Brits tend to love!!
