I Love Street Style!!
Fashion On The Street...
The one place I love to look for fashion influences are fashion features on street style. There's something about looking at real people photographed in the street. I suppose it's because its real in some way, because it is being worn by real people and not models. People from every walk of life, with different disposable incomes, creating their own unique styles from what they can find and most importantly what they can afford. I think that's what I love about British style, anything goes really. I love how we mix and match items to create a look thats different from any other. One thing I love about going out with my friends and going to music events is people watching and seeing what people are wearing. I find it soooo exciting and if I think someone looks nice then I am never to shy to tell them!!!
I love this Liverpool based street style website!!
There is soooo much to look at on there and it's great for if you're having a fashion block and need a little bit of inspiration!!
This is my favourite because it is so different to what you see on the street everyday.. There's alot more to see on the website, so take a look..

Vintage Clothing Auctions by Kerry Taylor
Kerry Taylor Auctions...
One of my good friends Keeley, told me about this fantastic website for amazing vintage clothing. It's an auction site that specialising in antique vintage fashion and textiles. I just love sieving through the different lots, seeing the most beautiful evening dresses, shoes and accessories a girl would die for!! My favourite vintage era has to be Art Deco 1920's.. Oh those Charleston girls knew how to dress!! I would love to get my hands on an original 1920's flapper dress one day, perhaps for my wedding :) I think it's amazing how these things still exist and it's definitely where a lots of designers get their inspiration today.Have a look at this site:
One of my favourite pieces on here has to be, the vintage 60's silver Paco Rabanne dress!! Very Kylie Minogue!!
Lot 213, June 10 2008, a rare Paco Rabanne chain-linked armour-plate mini dress, 1967, sold for £9,000
Enjoy looking through the vintage shelves...

Fashion On The Internet
Fashion At Your Fingertips..
I love finding new fashion websites, there really are so many out there. When you're researching for a shoot, it's nice to get inspired by other peoples work and to see what other people are doing in the industry. Being a stylist, you have to be completely visual with an intense focus on attention to detail to make things look as different and as good as possible. You may have thousands of ideas floating around, but presenting them in a way like no other can sometimes be the hardest thing to do.
I have been lucky enough to have some of my work published that was a photographed by Ian Cole.

New To Fashion Blogging!!
My Fashion Blog...
Well, it has to be said that I am new to this blogging lark!! Don't get me wrong, I've heard that it's the new 'in' thing to do.. Expressing yourself and your opinions, informing everyone of what your doing, letting people read your inner most thoughts, whilst you creative write your little heart out. To say the least, I'm a little skeptical that anyone at all would ever want to read mine. But I suppose anyone that knows me, knows that I can talk. Oh boy can I talk and there have been plenty of times I've woken up with a devilish hangover (I say devilish, as I believe the devil does actually come up to earth and takes me down to hell for the day and leaves me on what feels like deaths door!!) Well, lets put it like this, I open my eyes and think, "God, what was I talking about last night? And to who to?"
Well anyway.. Apparently blogs, especially fashion blogs are a fashion researchers heaven for seeking out new talent and inspiration. It's where the big people at the top are now searching for ideas and new concepts when forecasting and developing fashion trends. It's all about reaching the everyday people on the street, those that walk, talk and breathe fashion!! We've all seen the digi-snaps on street style and how 'ordinary' people on the street are creating their very own looks and trends. So I suppose blogging is a way of actually capturing what those people think about the fashion industry as a whole!!
It's opened a brand new network chanel to fashion creatives all around the World, and with fashion being a Worldwide phenomena, it's essential for companies to reach new heights with different fashion perspectives and influences. So much has already been done, and re-done in all respects!! That people need to find new things to keep the sacred fashion life fresh and new. It's true, the fashion world is a crazy place, there are so many people trying to get into it in one way or another that sometimes it can be really tough. Believe me, I've been there!! So every little helps in the industry and blogging is another way of expressing your creativity and basically becoming a fashion editor in your own right!! All your own thoughts, feelings, ideas brought together on your very own blog page. Hmmm the more I'm writing this, the more I'm liking the idea!! :O) This could be the start of something beautiful. Now lets see what I can pull out of the bag....

The story
Finally the material from the "Burnt dreams" is in! The first story of our Spring Summer 2010 collection is completed. Congratulations to the whole team : Fenia Lampropoulou photographer, Marina Koutsoumpa Make Up, Liss Bouwens model and me, Dusanka Duric designer, hair and styling.
We already talked about the inspiration on the theme and its complete philosophy in the post "Somewhere on the edge" that gave us a starting point of our story telling in hope that we'll awake awareness on certain issues around us, awareness that shall contribute to the salving the problems leading to the ecological catastrophe and to the destruction of life.
The story again promotes the individuality and personality, its totally against uni-formation of style and the tendency of identifying ourselves as a part of a group. Yes we all belong to a certain group, but is it really necessary to give up our personal expression because of that? In the age of variety and no utilities why do we tend to create them? Is it a safe ground to walk on, or would we feel much more comfortable to walk proudly expressing our own individual sense of style, our personal interpretation of beauty and fashion?
Just looking into the past, when a man lived more closer to his nature to himself, can't we find many answers to our modern problems? As we reached the peak in development as a civilization, we reached the bottom of the moral existence and respect towards one another. We reached a peak in exploitation in terms of survival, where the target justifies the mean and where we stopped caring at all about anything around us.
Its like putting up a show each time we walk out on the street with the style that is not an expression of a personality but a manipulated choice by the desperate battle to make an impression and a statement. Just a step back away from the ordinary and a step further into ourselves would make more than an impression and would certainly make a hell of a statement.....
