TODAY!

I am loving this spring weather! 

Today I have styled myself in an all-over printed, sleeveless shirt. There is so much happening on this single piece, some black and white stripes, green  leaves and vines, blue and purple floral and it feels like an ideal "spring" style of top. 

I am also wearing a necklace that I love, but need to wear more often.. Now that I will be wearing more dresses and pretty tops, this will match in perfectly as it did today. I can't wait to wear it with a flowy maxi dress in a red or a white... and with a high neck. So many  ideas running through my mind as I type this and look at my necklace!

CHARITY

Today I am wearing some charity bracelets that I brought along with a purchase last week for $1 each. They money raised by Rubi Shoes is then donated to charity. They add some colour to a simple outfit and double as a hair tie!

FRIDAY

I had one of my best girlfriends birthdays on Friday night. It was a casual get together with some family and friends at her home. It was a little cold through the night so I was able to wear my favourite faux fur vest from the winter!

WHEN IT RAINS

I had a heap of returns to do in Paddington on Friday morning and Sydney rain just would not stop. Running up and down Oxford St and finding parking close to the stores was not going to be easy! So, I thought wisely and slipped on these comfy boots -  my equivalent to gumboots.

PRETTY PRINT

I wore my new skirt from Portmans last week and had so many compliments! It is a really feminine cut, skims the hips and highlights a small waist. The colour is more of a neon pink than it seems in this photo and really stands out! 

I know I will be wearing this a whole lot over the next few months - I can so easily wear it with a nude wedge, a ridiculously high pair of black heels with a girlie bow and even with a pair of metallic sandals for daytime.

Definitely think every girl should find herself a classic-cut, feminine skirt with a nod to the neon trend.

Purple Is The New Black...

Going All Purple...

Purple was the statement colour all over the A/W 2012 catwalks and the pieces shown in this article are no exception to the rich and juicy colour admired by many celebs on recent dates!! As an alternative to wearing black, the colour oozes fun and naughtiness from the traditional standard black.

I just love the suede bow gloves by River Island.. The perfect thing to accessorise your plain leather biker jacket!!

British Heritage Style Reigns!!!

The Country Bumpkin...

I've been shooting a lot of country heritage style pieces over the last few weeks.. Lots of tweed, owl prints, rustic colours, brown leather and checks to list just a few of the designs and prints going through the retailers at the moment.. The trend has been in the shops for quite a while now but is still the classic British trend directly inspired from our beautiful British countryside. Think Kate Middleton on a country weekend retreat and you're half way there!! To wear it well, you have to be smart yet relaxed in your colourings - no bright colours anywhere to be seen and black is too boring!! Classic accessories such as a trilby or a pair of leather gloves will add instant chic and credibility to any heritage inspired piece.
