Shopping with Rosemary
On Thursday I had the pleasure of meeting "Win a Style Makeover" competition winner, Rosemary.
Rosemary won a free 2 hour style session with me at Westfield Parramatta and we had so much fun together! We talked the whole time and I found out lots about Rosemary's personal style and who she is, as well as the basics of body shapes and colours.
We headed into a few stores - Portmans for colour and print, Jaqui E for spring appropriate boleros and Just Jeans for a mix of casual styling. Up top, Rosemary wears a Just Jeans outfit and she looks absolutely amazing! Definitely a great store to visit for denim (as the name suggests), these looked great on Rosemary's shape. We also found a similiar pair of jeans with embroidered floral near the hip, placed on the pocket. This is a great feature for those with an Inverted Triangle body shape as it will help to balance out the top half.
I love the looks we created in Just Jeans, Rosemary has great taste herself so it was fun to shop together. What do you think of this look?

An All-Rounder
Last Thursday was a busy one for me! I had a meeting for the exciting new addition to Fashion Festival at Westfield Parramatta, the Myer Showcase event I am styling that you can come and watch this Friday from 11am - 1.30pm! I then hosted a Style Tour with Parramatta Sun who took lots of photos that I will share with you later. And one of my favourite bits of the day was shopping with my style session client Rosemary. I will show you a pic later of her in some amazing distressed denim!
So, for all of this I decided to wear this pink lace dress with a navy under lay for the day. I was on trend, cool and comfortable and to me that is most important! I accessorised with a pair of nude leather heels and bag and of course my sentimental accessories.
It's so essential to have that one dress that really is an all rounder in your wardrobe. Something you can wear to work, birthdays, weddings or a summer barbeque with friends. This piece needs to look great dressed up with heels or down with pretty sandals, which is why lace always works. My shopping picks would be from Review, Sheike and Cue, so much versatility to shop for in these stores.
If you have an item like this in your wardrobe, share it with me and tell me how you wear it for different occassions! Tag me on Instagram @hayleycooperstyling or send me through an email styling@hayleycooper.com.au

Update
A new season of Spring means the fashion industry starts moving faster than ever... Working is where I have been for all of this month, so here is a little update on what I have been wearing and doing!
I've found myself meeting lots of new people and businesses this September, this top image is what I wore to one of these meetings. It's my version of "corporate" and I love to mix and match with these black pants I brought last year in Forecast. A tip for shopping corporate dressing - Cue, Saba, Review, Jaqui - E, Witchery and Veronika Maine have some amazing pieces I have been introducing my personal styling clients to. Very on trend!
I am also getting lots wear out of this check print top and nude heels lately. I find it hard to find tops that fit me because my top half is a size 6 and I don't wear long tops, I just don't have the height for that. But this checked one, I found in a 6, at Mink for $25 and that made me happy. I love styling this with my simple, pastel pink necklace from Diva, it just works so well with the high neckline. As for the shoes, they are from Wittner and as anyone who shops with Wittner would know, their leather is just perfect, soft, wearable and the most comfortably stylish.
House of Paparazzi accessorising as usual, this bangle is beautifully beaded and is enhanced with the bronzed bangles I have added onto my wrist here. www.houseofpaparazzi.com.au
Those black heels you see are Chloe, a BTS snapshot I took on set of the David Jones shoots. Again, soft leather tempted me into slipping off my sandal and seeing how they looked (but I didn't do that because it's not professional). Love the heels on both!
My favourite photo here is of my Mum and I at the Deshabille Mother's Day Lunch earlier this year. I re worked this outfit recently, with a swap of my bag, heels and accessories it felt completely new. It always pays to have a few outfits you know will work.
How has everyone else been lately? Keep sending your style snapshots in!
